In 2025, China's inbound tourism market has seen explosive growth. In the first half of the year, the number of foreign tourists received reached 19.16 milion, among whom over 70% enjoyed visa-free policies. At this growth rate, the annual number is expected to exceed 35 million, surpassing the historica peak of 2019.0n the policy front, the number of countries enjoying China's unilateral visa-free access has expanded from 15 to 38, while the number of countries with mutual visa exemption has increased to 25. The ports applicable to these visa policies have also been extended to 60, which has directly driven the growth of tourist sources.
